This 180 degree panoramic view was taken from the publisher's Bay Area home on May 2nd, 2001. It consists of seven images assembled together in Adobe's Photoshop v5.5 on a Mac. The stitch lines where images join are really a figment of your imagination and don't actually exist. The view is looking towards the east at the left of the photo, south in the center and looking towards the west at the right. The bridge spans the Carquinez straits; ergo it's name, The Carquinez Bridge. In reality the bridge is actually two identical bridges separated approximately 75 feet from each other. An additional bridge, the Benicia Bridge, is obscured by the homes at the left of the photo. Additional Info |
