Allan Mayoff - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Son of the late Stanley and the late Jean Mayoff. Beloved husband of Eva Busgang. Devoted father and father-in-law of Felicia and Lionel Perez, Ilana and Neil Hubscher, Jeffrey Busgang, Lisa and Lorne Rabinovitch, Michael and Barbra Busgang. Proud and adored Zaidie of Naomi, Amram, Simcha, Avigail; Kayla, Madison, Jeremy; Jacob, Benjamin, Avrum. Dear brother of Sharon, Hershey (Jackie), Barry (Christine). Brother-in-law of Abie (Sandy) Schwartz, Benny (Marlene) Schwartz, Gershon (Kettie) Schwartz. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Barbara Sue SIMON, (75), died on October 22, 2007 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved wife of Herbert, and loving mother and best friend to daughters Amy York, Lisa Koransky, and the late Paula York. Also survived by sister and brother-in-law,Marilyn and Ed Fine, stepdaughters, Mistie and Francesca, son-in-law, Henry Koransky, and the numerous friends and relatives who loved her dearly.
Barbara enriched our lives through her unconditional love, acceptance, support, strength, and beauty. She will forever live on in our hearts and minds. We love and miss her dearly.


Benita Mayoff, wife of the late Sam Mayoff (Abr) passed away Sept 2, 2006 in Chicago. She was 91. She is survived by her son, Dennis Mayoff and his wife Linda.


Stanley Mayoff

Stanley Mayoff passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the age of 79. Husband of the late Jean Derzawetz. Beloved father and father-in-law of Allan and Eva, Sharon, Hershey and Jackie, Barry and Christine. Cherished grandfather of Felicia and Lionel Perez, Ilana and Neil Hubscher; Lisa and Lorne Rabinovitch, Jeffrey Busgang, Michael and Barbara Busgang; Ian Wineberg and Scott, Darrin and Pascale Wineberg; Ryan and Sophie Mayoff, Brandon Mayoff, Jason Mayoff. Loving great grandfather of eight. Predeceased by his siblings Moe, Ben, Jack, Ziggy, Anne, Issie, Saul and Burke. Dear brother-in-law of Abie and Hilda Derzawetz. Anne (Routtenberg) (Mayoff) Singer
SINGER, Anne (nee Routtenberg). Surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Born in Montreal May 25, 1911, to the late Adele and Joseph Routtenberg. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Moses Mayoff, and the late Hyman Singer. Treasured mother of Joyce, Edward, Joel and Sharon. Proud and beloved grandmother of Annie Hughes, Layah and Sasha Singer-Wilson, and Phoebe Singer. Predeceased by her dear siblings and their spouses Max and Raelene Routtenberg, Rae and Ted Mackie, David and Tessie Routtenberg, and Sara Routtenberg. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Anne was devoted and loyal to her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Rhea Sabran Garone Johnson (Ush) Born 2/6/30-Died 10/9/04. Rhea was the daughter of Max Sabran and Ann Mayoff Sabran (Ush). In her younger years, she modeled for Macy's and, later in life, she worked for the Dept. of Welfare. She was married to Marty Garone and they raised their two daughters, Bonnie and Marcie in Valley Stream, NY. After Marty died, she married Herb Johnson and, in the mid-'90s they moved to Lawndale, CA. Rhea is survived by her sister Sandra, her brother Alan and sister-in-law
Joan, her husband, her daughters, and her granddaughter Kylette (age 10) who is Marcie's daughter. During the funeral service, which was held on Oct 12 in Redondo Beach, the Rabbi read a poem that Kylette wrote for her grandmother.

ROSEN, Irwin, 81, (shown above with his wife many years ago and at his home in 1999). Col. Irwin E. Rosen, ret. USAF, M.D. died Jan. 11, 2003, at the Paradise Valley Estates Retirement Community, Fairfield, CA. He was born July 5, 1922 in Chicago. Dr. Rosen graduated from University of Illinois and University of Illinois Medical School in 1946, and interned at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He went into the army and was stationed in Tokyo, where he was a doctor for Tojo and other Japanese war criminals. He began orthopaedic residency at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. for one year and then transferred to Walter Reed Army Hospital for two years. He then changed to the Air Force and spent a one year residency at University of Iowa Hospital. Irwin practiced orthopaedic surgery in the Air Force for twenty years and was also flight surgeon, retiring in 1964 to go into private practice in Fremont, CA. He retired from medicine in 1991.
Irwin was an inveterate reader, being fond of history, particularly World War II, the biographies of political and military leaders, and the events of our time. He enjoyed traveling overseas and got to see much of the world. He loved music and his two miniature schnauzer dogs, Lucy and Stanzi. He became well-known at Paradise Valley Estates for his humorous, witty and touching stories of military medical life which were printed regularly in a monthly newsletter.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Rosen; daughters, Billie Rosen of Arizona and Barbara Rosen of Santa Rosa; sons, Robert Rosen of Washington and Richard Rosen of Iowa; and grandchildren, Ezekiel Parnow of San Diego, Austin Parnow of San Luis Obispo and Megan Parnow of Santa Rosa.




MAYOFF, Ada, 91, resident of Merrill Gardens in Tamarac died suddenly on September 19. Predeceased by Meyer, beloved husband of 58 years. She is survived by loving daughter Elaine (Gerald) Isaacs; son Bernard (Denise) Mayoff; grandchildren Jeffrey Mayoff, Robert Mayoff, Aaron (Ronite) Isaacs, Elizabeth Mayoff, Cheryl (Richard) Navarrete, Bradley Isaacs, great-grandson Richard Navarrete, Jr.

BOTTLER, Martin.
(photo above taken at the 1995 reunion) After a lengthy illness in London, Ontario on Friday, July 26, 2002, Martin Samuel Bottler of London, Ontario, Canada, in his fifty-second year. Dear son of Sarah Stone of London and the late Saul Bottler, dear brother of Maxine and her husband Len Silverstein of London and Rhea Bottler-Fineberg of Montreal. Martin will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and a great-nephew. Predeceased by his sister Marilyn Yearow. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Or Shalom Cemetery. Shiva will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 27-14 Doon Drive, London. Esther Mayoff. (Ush/Sch) On Saturday, February 5, 2000 at age 102. Beloved wife of the late Hyman. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sol and Essie, Moe and Sarah, and Abe and the late Anne Morantz. Cherished grandmother of Allan and Joey Mayoff of California, Rhona and Richard Pervin, Ian and Randy Morantz, Nancy Mayoff, and Joanna and James Ondrick. Great-grandmother of seven. Predeceased by her brother and three sisters. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and relatives. Esther's life spanned the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Nina Diamant, (Lei) daughter of Lisa and Max 'Mottle' Majew passed away in Tel Aviv, Israel in January 2000 at age 66. Sister of Lillian Novak and Aunt of Lion and Ella.


Ben Mayoff son of Libby and Sam Mayoff, passed away August 27, 1999 in Southern California at the age of 82. His wife Ruth died in 1993. He is survived by his (step) children, Fred Gray and Sheila O'Krakel, and numerous grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Jack Mayoff of Sunrise, Florida and Stanley Mayoff of Montreal, Quebec and many nieces and nephews. Through the generosity of Ben, numerous Mayoff's were sponsored for immigration to the United States including Mayoff genealogist, Art Mayoff.


Teddy Mayoff passed away in Montreal on August 3rd, 1999 at the age of 59 after a valiant fight with cancer. Teddy leaves his wife Linda, son Jason and daughter-in-law, Marla Mayoff, daughter Melissa and son-in-law Patrick Pelletier, son Darren Mayoff, cherished grandson Sebastian Pelletier and darling granddaughter Amanda Mayoff; Mother-in-law, Hilda After; Brother and sister-in-law Arthur & Sue Mayoff of Benicia, California and sister and brother-in-law Susan and Peter Vamos of Montreal; Brother-in-law of Susie and Peter Henderson of Lasalle Manitoba. Teddy, a Chartered Accountant found much solace in the innocence of his two grandchildren. He often spoke of his enjoyments of life and always emphasized how his life had been fulfilled through the joy of his grandchildren. Those who attended the Montreal reunion will remember Teddy recounting stories, and with his guitar, singing his fun songs for all of us. Donations may be sent to the Teddy Mayoff Memorial Fund at the Jewish General Hospital.

Meyer "Mike" Mayoff, (Abr) 87, of North Lauderdale, Florida, passed on to eternal rest on November 20, surrounded by people he loved. Survivors include Ada, his loving wife of 58 years; son Bernard and Denise Mayoff; daughter Elaine and Gerald Isaacs; grandchildren Jeffrey, Robert, Elizabeth and Cheryl Mayoff; Aaron and Bradley Isaacs; brother Sol and Zelda Mayoff; sisters Doris Bezonsky and Fritz Perel; and many nieces and nephews.
