This year's theme was inspired by the exotic tree
in front of Bernie and Denise's house that produced this exceptional
"fruit" for the first time this year.
Grandson Rich Navarrete examines the "fruit"

This may be the only M&M tree in the world. But at
Mayoff homes they've always known what the M's stood for.

Denise builds a croquembouche . . .
. . . and builds . . .
. . . and builds . . .
. . . and finally places the 103rd cream puff to
top off the tree.
Chocolate is inventoried
. . . and so are drinks, including some of the
ingredients for 10 gallons of frozen bellinis.
Guests are guided to the Mayoff Day tree and celebration
by a phalanx of tiki torches. .
and are greeted by a table flowing with chocolate.
Chocolate pasta with raspberry sauce and whipped
cream.
Traditional Mayoff Day cookies, along with chocolate
candy, chocolate cereal, and you may recognize some of the fruit
of the Mayoff Day tree.
Cheese, veggies, cocktail hotdogs and more provide
an alternative to those that become overwhelmed by chocolate.
Beth and Bryan Shepherd make sure they look perfect.
